"The eye never blinks, it pierces shadow and stone. Concealed within his fortress, the lord of Mordor sees all."

-JRR Tolkien

So this just in: Squeaky Kennedy has commissioned a comprehensive study, apparently in an attempt to prove he was right all along about vaccines and autism, that will entail collecting your private data from things like personal fitness trackers.

Chew on that one a second. Data collected about your personal peregrinations by the commercial entity that sold you the device or the app is handing that over to the government, which in turn will hand it off to RFK's tinfoil hat research team. Of course, this data collection has been going on as long as we've been talked into carrying cellphones at all times--lawyers regular subpoena records to show what cellphone tower a party's phone was talking to, as a means of demonstrating adultery or false testimony about one's whereabouts (often one and the same). Now it's just sort of out there, that the privacy we've freely given away, forever lost, now leads to an authoritarian government collecting a digital file on each of us.

Forget TikTok--our own government's in the game.

I'm moving to 1982.
